About a month ago, MTV's Catfish host, Nev Schulman was accused of sexual misconduct on his famous tv show.
Since the accusations against Nev were brought up, MTV decided to suspend filming until they could do a full investigation addressing the allegations.
MTV quickly began working with a third party company to conduct a thorough investigation of the matter. The accusations stem from someone that was previously on the show, Ayissha Morgan. She posted two videos on YouTube accusing Nev and Catfish producers of harassing her when she was on the show in 2015.
She claims that Nev asked her to have sex multiple times and asked her to "reevaluate" her sexual preference because she identified as lesbian. She also claims that she was taken advantage of by a female crew member after drinking too much in her hotel room.
MTV has concluded their investigation and found that the allegations against Nev Schulman were not credible. All of the allegations were based on Morgan's YouTube videos and they found that the accusations were without merit.
MTV told Us Weekly, "Although we never received a formal complaint, MTV and Critical Content immediately engaged an independent third party investigator."
They continued, "The independent investigator found the allegations made in the YouTube videos were not credible and without merit.
Catfish has officially begun filming again.
