Netflix has just dropped a teaser for the fourth season of Narcos and they've revealed something big.

Despite vanquishing Pablo Escobar and derailing the plans of the Cali cartel, longtime star Agent Javier Peña – played by Pedro Pascal for three seasons – may be no longer needed.

Don't believe it? The short teaser trailer for the forthcoming fourth season suggests just that. Displaying the names of cast across a backdrop of band members and cocaine, the clip announces instead that Rogue One's Diego Luna and Ant-Man's Michael Peña will join the cast as the show's new leads as Narcos transitions into Mexico.

It’s unclear if Pascal's character will not appear in the new season at all, but it's evident that he will not be starring.

The teaser does confirm that the story will focus on the Guadalajara cartel in Mexico (and cocaine, of course), and producers have noted that means the show’s focus will be going back in time to the late 1970s and ’80s, according to Entertainment Weekly

Production on the show has already started and the season is slated to premiere sometime in 2018.
