As kids, a lot of us grew up watching cartoons and animated series, but as you venture into adulthood, it seems as though you slowly stop enjoying them as much. Whether it's because you simply don't have the time anymore, or because your preferences have changed, it's kind of odd to lose something that was once such a huge part of your life. A few months back, Netflix released a new animated series that's PERFECT for busy adults, and now Netflix's Love, Death & Robots has been renewed for a second season.
The announcement came yesterday on Netflix's social media channels. The streaming service posted a brief video to share the news, which shows clips from some of this season's episodes, and viewers are already beyond excited.
This second season is also brought to you by a new director - Jennifer Yuh Nelson, who is best known for her work on the Kung Fu Panda series, as well as The Darkest Minds. It will definitely be interesting to see a new and unique take on the show, although it's an anthology so none of the episodes need to be watched chronologically.
No information about episode format has been released yet, but the first season featured 18 episodes, all spanning roughly 6-18 minutes in length, so we're assuming the second season will be similar. People absolutely love the short run time, because it allows them to feel guilt free while binge watching.
Another thing people noticed about Love, Death & Robot's first season was that Netflix actually switched up the order of episodes for some viewers. The order that the series shows up on your Netflix could be totally different from the way it shows up on your friends', which is honestly pretty cool!
A release date has yet to be announced for the new season, but stay tuned to Netflix's social channels for further information.
