It's officially the holidays, and right now, you're probably thinking about nothing other than getting under a nice, thick blanket with a cup of hot cocoa and Netflix.

If you're one of the lucky ones, you don't even have to go back into work until after the New Year. Is there a better way to celebrate than eating Christmas leftovers and binge-watching a bunch of TV series? No, probably not.

Since Christmas is officially over, you can say good riddance to Netflix originals like The Christmas Prince and Christmas Inheritance. Instead, you may want to start turning your attention to a subject close to plenty of documentary filmmakers hearts: drugs.

The popularity of shows like Narcos has led to an influx of drug-related shows on Netflix, but there's one that's leading the pack right now, and it's called Dope.

The new documentary series gives an first-look insight into the modern day drug industry. Each episode is 45-minutes long, and unlike other drug documentaries, Dope is filmed from a number of perspectives, so you'll see what it's like for users, dealers and the police.

The series is sure to be a hit for anyone who loves insane true crime cop shows. There's shady drug dealers, undercover police work and a hell of a lot of action shots. The docu-series starts out by taking viewers out on to the streets of Oakland, where the show opens on El Capitan, a coke distributor who delivers his product using an RV. The second episode show what life is like for addicts, dealers and cops working in Baltimore - dubbed 'the heroin capital of America'.

If you're looking for something fun to watch that you don't have to pay much attention to while you stuff your face with Christmas leftovers, this is it.
