Perhaps one of the juiciest scandals that 2019 has delivered to us so far (right after the Khloe-Tristan-Jordyn scandal, of course) is none other than the USC College Admissions scandal. If you're not familiar, essentially a group of celebrities including Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin paid an excessive amount of money to get their kids into college. Otherhood starring Felicity Huffman is coming to Netflix next month.
Since news of the scandal broke, almost everyone affiliated instantly began losing partnerships with brands they were working with. Lori Loughlin and her daughter, beauty guru Olivia Jade were definitely hit the hardest, although other stars were affected too.
Earlier today, June 10th, Netflix released the trailer for their latest film called Otherhood. The film stars Angela Bassett, Patricia Arquette, and Felicity Huffman as three middle-aged mothers who are feeling neglected by their 20-something sons.
After a disappointing Mother's Day, the group of friends decides to head on a road trip to New York City to remind their sons that sometimes they do in fact need their moms. Along the way, the women also learn plenty about themselves that will have you laughing, and maybe even crying.
Otherhood was supposed to hit Netflix a few months ago, back on May 31st, but because of all the heat and drama still surrounding Huffman's name at the time, the release date was pushed until later in the year after the actress announced that she would be pleading guilty.
In regards to the charges laid, Huffman is facing one count of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud, which comes with a maximum of five years of jail time.
The movie will be available for streaming on Netflix, and for viewing in select theatres on August 2nd. You can check out the trailer for Otherhood below.
