The first teaser for Deadpool's sequel has officially arrived.
Ryan Reynolds dropped the surprise trailer on Twitter today, but it's not your average marketing campaign. In fact, it's the most Deadpool thing ever.
The video shows Reynolds dressed up as his title character, but it's mostly just Deadpool dressed up as Bob Ross making a painting and cracking wise jokes. There is some footage of the untitled sequel, but it's hidden in the bizarre tribute.
In a pair of blue jeans, a white shirt and a head full of Bob Ross' hair, Reynolds softly speaks about what he's painting.
And it's only about two thirds of the way through that we see flashes of footage from Deadpool 2. Reynold's on-screen girlfriend, Wade in a coffin, Josh Brolin’s Cable and Deadpool’s favorite blind landlord, Blind Al, are all present in the teaser trailer.
The teaser is packed with other interesting clips - it just moves very quickly.
If you're still confused, the “official Deadpool 2 synopsis,” according to an email from Fox, reads:
"After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry's hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor - finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World's Best Lover."
Yup, Deadpool 2 is definitely shaping up to be the most interesting Marvel movie yet.
