The Netflix original series 'Stranger Things' may only have two seasons, but it's beloved by so many people all across the world. Whenever a show blows up in the way 'Stranger Things' has, there's usually merchanside to go with it.
I've seen shirts, hats, keychains, etc. But now, 'Stranger Things' will have it's own book series to go along with the show! So far, a prequel novel has been announced, written by Gwenda Bond, and it will tell the story of Eleven's mother and how she got into the MKUltra program.
The books will be published by Penguin's Random House, and will also include a gift book, "aimed a younger readers with 'advice, wisdom, and warnings from the Stranger Things world'", and a behind-the-scenes book! Both of these are expected to hit shelves in the fall!
It's about Eleven's mother Terry and her intersection with the MKUltra program and you're going to get to know and love her in a whole new way. I'm SO EXCITED.— Gwenda Bond (@Gwenda) June 8, 2018
It's been reported that Bond's novel will have sequels, written both for adults and children. This wouldn't be the first time Bond's conquered a follow-up novel to a popular series; she's also written books about the infamous Lois Lane.
The novels will be a great way to add in extra dialogue about the show, especially those parts which were briefly mentioned, but probably won't be looked at again. It's also a great way to continue the series after it inevitably ends, as the creators have pegged it to last about 4 or 5 seasons!
