Zac Efron has traditionally stuck to roles that show off his musical talents and tip-top shape body, but fans of the star are going to have to get used to a much different look from him soon.
Photos of the 30-year-old as serial killer Ted Bundy in an upcoming biopic have been released, and it's as far away from East High's star basketball player as we can get.
Last year, Efron began filming Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, a film about America’s most notorious serial murders, Ted Bundy. And yesterday, he finally shared a photo of exactly what we can expect from it.
The snap, shared on Twitter and Instagram, seems to resemble Bundy's own mugshot and shows Efron back against a wall holding a criminal ID sign. For a caption, Efron simply wrote, "Meet Ted."
Compared to the workout photos that usually take over his social media accounts, this character shot is a total change of aesthetic for the actor.
The film takes the perspective of Bundy’s longtime girlfriend Elizabeth Kloepfer (Lily Collins), who denied the accusations against him for years before turning him in to the police.

Bundy eventually confessed to 30 homicides committed in seven states between 1974 and 1978, though the true number of his victims is still unknown.
Along Efron and Collins, John Malkovich will play Edward Cowart, the judge on Bundy's trial who imposed the death sentence.
A release date for Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile has not been announced, but we're already creeped out just by seeing Efron's pictures.
