We all know the struggle all too well. You're scrolling through Netflix endlessly, trying to decide what to watch. It feels like you've spent hours watching trailers, reading synopsis', and looking for reviews. It's totally frustrating, and a giant waste of time.

The following is a list of Netflix Original films that all scored higher than 90% on Rotten Tomatoes (and we all know that Rotten Tomatoes reviews are no joke). No matter if you're into romantic comedies, thrillers, or documentaries, there's something for everyone to enjoy:

Our Souls at Night (90%)

Type: Drama

This film is a love story, based on a novel by Kent Haruf. It tells the story of two widowed seniors who have been neighbours for years but have had minimal contact. When Addie finally decides to pay her neighbour a visit, the two find themselves falling in love and enjoying what time they have left in their old age.

Set It Up (90%)

Type: Romantic Comedy

This film follows the plot of many other romcoms, but it's done in a much less cheesy way. Two overworked, underpaid assistants, Harper, and Charlie quickly realize that their lives might drastically improve if their bosses weren't single - hence the idea to set the people they work for up!

Gerald's Game (90%)

Type: Thriller

Based on the novel by Stephen King, this film is sure to have you on the edge of your seat. Gerald and Jessie head off for a remote weekend vacation in hopes of rekindling the former flame in their marriage, after an unplanned accident though, things turn south quickly.

Deidra & Laney Rob a Train (91%)

Type: Comedy

As a high school senior, time is flying by for Deidra. Along with her little sister, and her part-time dad (who's a full-time schemer), Deidra devises a plan to begin robbing trains in order to help her struggling family.


Nobody Speak: Trials of the Free Press (91%)

Type: Documentary

You hear the term "free press" all the time, but really, just how free is the press? In this incredibly informative and well-done documentary gives you an insiders look at what journalism is really like in the 21st century. It also features Hulk Hogan, so obviously you'll get a laugh out of it.

They'll Love Me When I'm Dead (92%)

Type: Documentary

If you consider yourself a bit of a film buff, then this documentary about legendary director Orson Welles might just be the thing for you. Shortly before his death, he had plans to finish what was meant to be his big Hollywood comeback, but it was never released. This documentary gives an insiders look to the process of Welles' filmmaking, life, and much more.

Into the Inferno (92%)

So many of us have seen the chaos and destruction that can be followed by a volcanic eruption, but have you ever wondered about the delicate relationship between volcanoes and mankind? This documentary will take you on a global journey to learn things you'd never thought about before.

Beasts of No Nation (92%)

Type: Drama

This heartbreaking film tells the story of civil war, and just how horrendous and costly it can be to those directly affected by it. Follow Agu as he finds himself conscripted as a child soldier, lead by a Sadistic commandant.

The American Meme (93%)

Type: Documentary

Paris Hilton? Memes? DJ Khaled? An unusual combination - but that's what our generation is all about. This awesome documentary tells the story of just how powerful social influence really is.

CAM (94%)

Type: Thriller

Alice, an ambitious camgirl, finds herself caught in an unusual situation - someone who looks just like her has taken over her webcam show. Alice finds herself slowly losing control of her life, her men, and her mind.

Tramps (95%)

Type: Romantic Comedy

As aspiring chef Danny struggles to make ends meet, he finds himself in with the wrong crowd after he agrees to fill in on a job for his brother. The job seems easy enough, but after making an innocent mistake Danny ends up stuck on a two-day adventure alongside bad-girl Ellie to get things back to normal.

Roma (95%)

Type: Drama

As one of Netflix's biggest films of 2018, it's no surprise that Roma has received such high ratings. The film follows Cleo, a young woman in Mexico City who is a domestic worker. As the story unfolds, we see the political turmoil and domestic strife that existed in Mexico throughout the 1970s.

One of Us (96%)

Type: Documentary

Leaving your religion isn't easy, but imagine leaving it knowing that you could potentially be jeopardizing your relationship with family members and friends that you've known your whole life? This documentary follows the lives of three individuals who have left Hasidic Judaism over the course of three years.

To All the Boys I've Loved Before (96%)

Type: Romance

Based on the New York Time's Best Selling novel, this film is the perfect rush of nostalgia. Follow Lara Jean Song Covey's crazy life as all of her once-secret love letters get mysteriously mailed out to the boys she's spent years crushing on.

Mudbound (97%)

Type: Drama

In the American South during World War II, things were heated. This film tells the story of two families, pitted against one another by social hierarchy but forced to work together due to shared farmland.

Chasing Coral (100%)

Type: Documentary

Although most of the ocean remains unexplored, a lot of what we've seen beneath the water has been particularly beautiful - especially the coral reefs. This documentary takes you on an insider's tour of the coral, and it's like nothing you've ever seen before.

Shirkers (100%)

Type: Documentary

This film was originally made in Singapore in 1992 by a group of girlfriends, but the film was later stolen by their American collaborator. Now, nearly two decades later, the film has been brought back to life like never before.
