Get ready Netflix fans - the streaming service is back again with news of another new show, and this one looks seriously intense. Can you imagine finding yourself on trial for a murder that you didn't even commit? It's not something that happens to the average person, but this new Netflix series is about a school shooting, and it will have you on the edge of your seat.
The series is called Quicksand, and it takes place in the beautiful city of Stockholm - a place where crimes such as school shootings don't happen as often as they do in the United States, so the story is particularly shocking.
The main character, Maja, lives a relatively normal life. She attends a Stockholm prep school and has a boyfriend named Sebastian, who is the son of Sweden's richest man. Sounds pretty ideal, right? Everything is going well until Maja finds herself on trial for a murder at her school that was instigated by Sebastian. Unfortunately, the crime leaves Sebastian dead, so Maja is left to face the hateful press alone.
The trailer was just released today, and although it doesn't give much information on the show, one thing's for sure - it looks intense. While you're waiting for the series to release, we recommend reading the novel of the same name by Malin Persson Giolito, or you can wait to check it out on Netflix on April 5th if you want to avoid spoilers!
