In today's day and age, I feel like online dating has become the primary way for millennials to get together. Whether you're using Bumble, Tinder, or Hinge, it seems as though most people have some sort of app on their phone that lets them connect with new people, and potentially find love (or whatever else you're looking for). By now you've probably at least heard of the chilling show Dirty John on Netflix. This new series about online dating is coming to Netflix Canada, but it's nothing like Dirty John.
The new series is called Osmosis, and although it's entirely in French, the series looks very intriguing. The show is all about finding love, but definitely not in a typical way. Essentially, scientists are recruiting people on the hunt for love, but instead of having them swipe to find their match, their brains are mined for data that will help them find a compatible match.
This honestly sounds like a pretty smart way to go about things, because if a third party is searching through your brain there's no way that you can present yourself falsely to your potential suitors. Of course, everything comes at a cost though, and in this situation, the cost might be deadly.
The trailer alone gave me chills, so I can't wait to see what the actual series is like. You can check it out for yourself above, and then stream it on Netflix Canada as of March 29th.
