This Halloween season, Popcorn Frights is bringing the blockbuster film Friday the 13th: Jason Takes Manhattan with an interactive performance. Popcorn Frights was recognized by Sun-Sentinel as “One of the Best Film Festival’s in Florida" for its unique features and events.
The upcoming event will feature a live interactive performance by Abyss Productions, I Love NY Woodfire Pizza, pop up Doom Room video store, special new restoration of the film and other surprises.
It will be a Wicked Weekend celebration showing three films from the horror saga. The festival will begin on Thursday with Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter followed by Friday the 13th: Jason Takes Manhattan.
Popcorn Frights specializes in bloody, creepy and dead-centered films for an audience seeking all this horror. This is not a festival for the faint of heart — although screaming is allowed.
The festival also features World Premiere films such as Haunt and The Dare, focusing on gruesome-quality films.
The cinema is located in a historical building in Fort Lauderdale showcasing different horror films throughout the month. If you love scary things and have a love for horror, this is an event you can't miss.
