Back in January, Netflix released a docuseries called Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes. Instantly, the internet was captivated. Most of us had heard about Ted Bundy and his gruesome history before but never before had we gotten to hear what he had to say in such an up close and personal way. Shortly after the tapes were released, the first trailer for another Ted Bundy project was released, and later picked up by Netflix. We now know when Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile is coming to Netflix Canada.
Just this morning, Netflix released a new trailer for the film to their YouTube channel, and after watching it you'll understand why Zac Efron is receiving so much acclaim for his take on Mr. Bundy. The way he is able to look straight into the camera and lie to not only an audience but also the ones he loves about the things he did is gut-wrenching.
The film initially premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 26th and has received mixed reviews since. Apart from Efron, it also stars Lily Collins as Bundy's girlfriend, Elizabeth Kloepfer. Other big names include John Malkovich, Jim Parsons, and Haley Joel Osment.
If you've watched The Ted Bundy Tapes already, I think you'll have no trouble agreeing that Zac Efron's portrayal is uncanny and chilling. You can check out the new trailer for Extremely Wicked above, and be sure to mark your calendars as it will be available for streaming on May 3rd.
