Our favourite movie star celeb, Jennifer Lawrence is getting a ton of heat after reviews for her new film "Red Sparrow" came out. We love J-Law as much as the next girl, but even we have some serious questions about the film.
Lawrence plays a prima ballerina, Dominika Egorova who turns to "Sparrow School" a secret intelligence service that trains people to use their minds and bodies as weapons. Fans have some serious issues with how women are portrayed in the film and that it's lacking in the feminist department.
Further, the movie revolves around three clichéd topics: Sex, spies and Russians. The overdone theme is not sitting well with fans. Fans are going as far as to say that the weird cold war movie is sadistic and Lawrence's Russian accent is incredibly awkward. "Red Sparrow" is sitting at a painful 50% on the Tomatometer on Rotten Tomatoes.com.
