All The Free Shows You Cannot Miss At Montreal's 2019 Jazz Festival
The world's largest jazz fest is back and better than ever.
Ah, Montreal. A city of culture, fun, beauty... and parties! Epic parties, nonetheless.
It's no secret that Montrealers know how to have a good time, and the good vibes only get amplified during the summertime. There are quite literallythat go down every summer in Montreal; from food to music and everything in between, there isn't anything this beautiful place won't celebrate!
But one of the most hype festivals in the whole city? The, of course! Celebrating jazz music in the outdoor landscape of a gorgeous city, the Jazz Fest is in its 40th (!) year. Honestly, if you've never attended, now's a pretty good time to do so.
This year, the festival features more than 500 concerts - and many are free to attend. Running from June 26 to July 6, the festival boasts world-renowned artists, great food, spectacular art installations, and fun swag. Can't forget the amazing crowds and the absolute best ambiance, either!

Spearheaded by Eric Burton and Adrian Quesada, Black Pumas are performing live, hot off the heels of their first self-titled album. If you're in love with the soulful vibe of the 70s, then you're going to fall in love with this Texas band!

Hailing from Montreal, these musical mavens know how to get the party started. So much so, in fact, that they'll be showcasing their brass/hip-hop fusion tunes throughout the festival by way of parade, starting at 5:00 PM every night of the Jazz Festival!

Born in Ottawa, Sue Foley has made a huge name for herself on the blues scene. A singer-songwriter with over 15 albums under her belt, Sue Foley is an actual treat to hear live, so you'll want to make sure not to miss this show!

This Toronto singer-songwriter boasts a lively and melancholy voice. With songs of love and desire, her heart-wrenching ballads will definitely give you all the feels (in the best way possible, of course).

A project launched by Meghan Remy in 2007, U.S. Girls combines feminist discourse with experimental pop. Currently based in Toronto, her latest album combines disco with glam. Talk about fun and sassy!

After appearing on La Voix (AKA, the Quebec version of The Voice), Liana has proven herself to be one seriously smooth, soulful artist. She's releasing her first-ever album this fall, so be sure to catch her live at the Montreal Jazz Fest!
