The spookiest month of the year is finally approaching; it's almost Halloween! I know you're already getting your best costumes ready, so why not check out the Toronto Zoo's Halloween Boo at the Zoo event this October?
Imagine two of your favourite things in one place: Halloween and TONS of animals. You can get the best of both worlds at this Toronto Zoo event on October 19, 20, 26, and 27.
At Boo at the Zoo, kids 12 and under will get free admission when they wear a costume. Who said the 31st is the only day you can dress up? Help your kiddo get that adorable Baby Shark outfit on for these zoo-tastic weekends! (Keep in mind that kids must be accompanied by an adult paying regular admission.)
Brand new to the Toronto Zoo's Halloween event this year, the BOOmobile features a legendary family-friendly adventure. Take a ride through the Zoo while learning spooky facts about animals and about the “ghosts” that haunt the Toronto Zoo right from the “Zoo Kreeper” himself!
The BOOmobile tour runs for about 45 minutes; you can ride it for just $9.00, and for Zoo Members, it's only $7.00 (free for all children under 2).
Looking for an after-hours Zoo experience? Partake in Bump in the Night for an awesome evening of discovery as the sun goes down! Learn more about the unique characteristics of nocturnal creatures and how they manage to live in the dark. Then, take a moonlight hike to see what you can find and get a chance to "communicate" with Arctic wolves. This night will leave you howling with excitement! Bump in the Night takes place on October 19 & 26 and tickets are available here and are $20, or $15 for Zoo Members.
Aside from this awesome BOOmobile storytelling ride, your family will love visiting the Zoo's many animals! Did you know the Toronto Zoo is home to more than 5,000 animals? This includes a representation of 450 different species. You can visit these animals year-round, too! So, whether you're enjoying the fall's crisp air or chilling off in the winter's cold, the Toronto Zoo is the ideal outdoor activity for your family to enjoy together.
The Toronto Zoo is committed to fighting animal extinction, and they strive to help connect people to wildlife by showing each animal in its natural habitat and nurturing them through every season. Who doesn't love taking care of animals?!
The Zoo hopes to share this special love of animals with everyone, offering each individual a unique experience, especially during these autumn months. October is one of the best times to visit because the weather is perfect for enjoying the walking trails around the Zoo with a nice breeze!
