There’s never a bad time for Mexican food, but arguably the best time for Mexican food is on Cinco de Mayo, everyone’s favorite excuse to drink tequila and eat tacos. On the weeks leading up to the date, cities across Florida will be holding food festivals dedicated to the fifth of May, and in Fort Myers, you can join in on massive Mexican food truck event held at Millennial Brewing Co., and it’s free to enter!
Pace yourself and come hungry to Millennial Brewing’s Co’s Mexican Food Fest, where fourteen different food trucks and vendors from around the state will gather to bring you the best authentic Mexican food around.
The event is free to enter but be sure to bring cash and card to pay the vendors, as each one may accept different payment methods. But no worries, there will be an ATM on-site if you forget.
From small bites to soups, sweet churros, hardy tamales, stuffed empanadas, and creative tacos, you can wash it all down with select craft beer brewed by Millennial Brewing specifically for this event.
The festival will be held at Millennial Brewing Co.’s own location, where you can park for free and wander around the various stalls and food trucks to live musical entertainment, celebrating the fifth of May in style.
Last year’s event held a steady stream of people the whole day, and while guests commented that the lines weren’t bad, it’s always a good idea to get there early and try all the goodies before the crowds get big.
From classic dishes to traditional recipes with modern twists, you’ll definitely get your fill at this fest.
There will even be vegan and vegetarian options available, like the infamous Mexican vegan pizza with refried beans, black beans, sour cream, cilantro, lime, corn, onion.
As a final note, Millennial Brewing also suggest to guests that they consider bringing their own folding chair and even a reusable cup to ensure seating and stay away from single-use plastics!
