This Secret Water Park In A North Florida Forest Is A True Hidden Gem

When it comes to Florida, exploration of our vast natural landscapes pays back 10 fold with views and experiences that last a lifetime, hiding almost in plain sight. Some hidden Florida gems need very little explaining, like Bob's River Place.

Unlike most water parks that you'll find in the middle of the city, Bob's River Place sits secluded & hidden amongst the trees on the Suwanee River in Branford Florida, offering a whole day's worth of fun with the bonus of nature views.

If you're familiar with the Disney movie Swiss Family Robinson, it's been referred to as that, but on steroids. You can climb up into the treehouses scattered across the property and make a splash after zooming down the water slides into the Suwanee.

You'll also find other high energy experiences like rope swings, jumping platforms, log rollers, splash pads, floating sunbathing rafts, water & land volleyball and even place to grill up delicious bites or belt your heart out at some karaoke.

Bob's River place is open seasonally, starting in spring & staying open through the fall season. They closed their 2019 season on September 29th, but will reopen again in Spring 2020 according to their website; patiently waiting so we can go!

If you're planning for a weekend to visit this awesome spot next year, you'll definitely want to camp out and check out all the cool things in the area. This unique glamping Airbnb is cheap to help keep travel costs down & it's right on the river only about a half-hour from Bob's River Place.

You may also want to swim at Royal Springs nearby, where the water is crystal clear and a comfortable temperature year-round; it's also only about an hour away from "The Bridge To Nowhere" — a secret abandoned graffiti-covered bridge that you want to add to your bucket list.

Just like their sign says, Bob's River Place is a cool place for cool people, and it's definitely worth the road trip. Grab the BFF's and plan a trip to this unique riverside waterpark!
