As the Global Climate Strike gets well underway across the whole of Canada, social media has come alive with posts, photos and videos, directly from the marches. To make sure they are seen, as well as heard, thousands of Canadians have created one-of-a-kind signs to draw attention to their climate messages, and some of them are absolutely brilliant!
From Halifax to Ottawa to Montreal, and everywhere in between, students, children and adults alike have gone above-and-beyond with their signs for the climate march. Paying homage to The Moomins, Charlie Brown and Greta Thunberg, some of these signs are not to be missed.
Whether their purpose was to make you learn, make you laugh, or make you cry, the variety of signs present during the marches has been pretty incredible so far, and Canadians are showing no signs of slowing down!
While the best of Toronto’s climate strike signs have already been decided, here’s a look at the rest of the country, and you won’t be disappointed.
The Power Of Puppies
These little guys know exactly what they’re talking about. He’s even wearing a dinosaur onesie!

The Moomins, Chilly Willy and Charlie Brown are all very concerned. If the cartoons are, the politicians certainly should be.
Make Canada Cold Again
My favourite sign so far: Make Canada Cold Again. (Worth noting I went back inside to change because I was too warm… https://t.co/YhhNb2Y5uR— Steffani Cameron, Deep State Operative (@Steffani Cameron, Deep State Operative) 1569603233.0
An improvement on the slogan, for sure.
Worst House Warming
It's not like we can move if this home gets too hot.
What do you get when you mix Nelly, Greta Thunberg and iced coffee? Three brilliant signs.
What a reality. No Insta-worthy nature shots. No Instagram altogether.
This Looks Familiar
Scarily accurate. Somebody check if Justin Trudeau has Netflix.
It's Time To Panic
In the words of Greta Thunberg, "I want you to act as if our house is on fire. Because it is."
