Amanda Bynes Is Planning A Major Comeback In 2018
Everyone loves a good comeback - just ask Britney Spears. Or 2015 Justin Bieber. Whenever a star falls off the beaten path, there's usually a ton of attention, scandal, and bad paparazzi photos. Headlines like "downwards spiral" and "doomed" flash across magazine covers while their agents, publicists and representatives kiss their careers goodbye. However, some spirals create bigger, better and brighter stars in the form of a glorious comeback.
Amanda Bynes was once a much-loved child star who was a series regular in programs like All That and The Amanda Show while also experiencing great success in the film industry with box-office hits like Sydney White and She's The Man. Bynes was the pinnacle of child-star success until 2013, when her drug abuse and absurd tweets ("I want @Drake to murder my vagina") became a regular talking point in the media.
Bynes has since cleaned up her act, now 3 years sober and attending classes at L.A.’s Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. She gave her first interview in years this summer to an online media company and seemed much healthier than previous years. Though she hasn't starred in a film since 2010's Easy A, Bynes is determined to return to acting in 2018.
Amanda's lawyers revealed to Page Six that, "Amanda is looking forward to ringing in the new year with her close friends this year. In 2018, she looks forward to completing fashion school and dipping her toe back into acting. She has had several offers but is waiting for the right one to come along for a comeback.”
