Last week, the Swedish "Levels" DJ Tim Bergling, more widely known as Avicii, was announced deceased at 28-years-old in Muscat, Oman. While the entire world was shocked by this unfortunate event, it seems that Bergling would have been less surprised.
According to his 2017 Netflix documentary, Avicci: True Stories, Bergling had already predicted his death months before.
Upon announcing his retirement from the scene in 2016, he expressed that "there was a lot of pushback when [he] stopped doing gigs." He explained that "people would pressure [him] into doing more gigs" despite his anxiety and health issues at the time.
In his documentary, he said, "I have told them this. I won't be able to play anymore. I have said, like, 'I'm going to die.' I have said it so many times. And so I don't want to hear that I should entertain the thought of doing another gig."
The documentary follows his life in 2016, outlining his struggles with his health issues, alcohol abuse, as well as his retirement. While the film seems now to have been pulled from Netflix, you can still view it on YouTube. Here they are:
