After disappearing from the media for several years, Canadian singer Avril Lavigne is finally making a comeback Avril Lavigne just dropped a new single called "Dumb Blonde" and people are absolutely loving it. The pop song is a collaboration with Nicki Minaj and challenges stereotypes of "dumb blondes".

"Dumb Blonde" was just released earlier today on Tuesday, February 12 and is one of the songs from the singer's new upcoming album, Head Above Water. Two other singles have already been released from the album – "Head Above Water" and "Tell Me It’s Over".

The song is a power pop anthem that aims to challenge sexist, "dumb blonde" stereotypes. In the single, Avril Lavigne sings lines such as, "I ain’t no dumb blonde/I ain’t no stupid Barbie doll/I got my game on/You gon' watch me, watch me, watch me prove you wrong".

Nicki Minaj even lends her fierce rapping skills in the song. Before the single dropped, she announced that she has been a longtime fan of Avril Lavigne. "If you know me, you know how long I’ve been a fan of hers," she wrote in an Instagram post about the song. "You couldn’t tell me I wasn’t hittin EVERY note on 'I’m with you' in the shower."
