Nothing like running into your former stepdaughter at a Hollywood party, am I right? Just kidding, can’t relate. But apparently, Amber Heard can. She was spotted at the same TIFF party as Johnny Depp’s daughter, Lily-Rose.
Many will recall that Heard and Depp had an extremely messy split back in 2016, following a 15-month marriage. During and even before their vows, there were rumours of domestic abuse in the relationship.
A week after filing for divorce citing irreconcilable differences, Heard showed up to a Los Angeles courthouse with a bruise near her right eye. She claimed the mark was due to Depp throwing a phone at her face. Following the allegations, Heard was granted a temporary restraining order from Depp.
In an interview with Marie Claire magazine back in 2015, Heard said being a stepmother to Lily-Rose was “a gift”. However, given all the family drama, things between them are likely not super cheery.
Heard was in Toronto promoting her new film, Her Smell while Depp was repping her dad at the premiere of A Faithful Man, in which he stars.
Both Heard and Depp attended InStyle’s TIFF celebration party at the Four Seasons. It’s unclear whether 32-year-old Heard and 19-year-old Depp actually ran into each other at the event, but the thought alone is cringe-worthy.

Hopefully, they each had enough celeb pals to chum it up with at the party. Other notable attendees included Matthew McConaughey, Carey Mulligan, Elle Fanning, Chloe Grace Moritz, Dev Patel, Robert Pattinson, and Melissa McCarthy.
This isn’t the first time Heard has had an awkward Depp run in. She and her ex both attended San Diego’s Comic-Con back in July. She was promoting her film Aquaman while he showed up dressed as his character, Gellert Grindelwald, from the upcoming November film Fantastic Beasts: Crimes of Grindelwald.
I guess you just never know when your teenaged ex-stepdaughter from your alleged abusive ex will show up at a party to cramp your style. Oh, wait. Nope, still can't relate.
