“You” Star Victoria Pedretti Is In Vancouver Filming A Horror Series For Netflix
It's expected to premiere this year!
We first got introduced to the American actress when she became Joe Goldberg's, or rather Will Bettelheim's, creepy new love interest in You. She did an amazing job at convincing us that she was really in love with him and then that she was devastated when she found out his whole life story was a scam. That's not her only big role and Victoria Pedretti from You is in Vancouver filming The Haunting of Hill House season two.
The 24-year-old starred in the 2018 series that was loosely based on a 1959 novel of the same name written by Shirley Jackson.
The second season will be released under the title The Haunting of Bly Manor and will star mostly the same cast including Henry Thomas, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, and Kate Siegel.
Season one was filmed in Atlanta, Georgia back in 2017, but season two moved the cast members to Vancouver, BC.
According to What's Filming, production began on September 30 and will go until February 25. It's expected to release on Netflix this year, and The Haunting of Hill House is already available to watch on Netflix Canada.
This time around, the script will loosely follow another novel from 1898 called The Turn of the Screw by Henry James. Mike Flanagan is returning as creator and director of season two.
Season one was centred around the Crain family consisting of two parents and their five children. Pedretti played one of the daughters named Nell who is the youngest in a pair of twins.
The family moved into Hill House with the intention to renovate and resell it. While they're there, they hit a bunch of snags and unexpected problems that involve having to stay longer in the mansion that they slowly start to realize is filled with paranormal activity.
They eventually are able to escape the haunted home and return over 20 years later as adults to reflect on their trauma caused by the house.
Her character in The Haunting of Bly Manor won't be the same and is named Dani Clayton.
Pedretti's role as Love Quinn is definitely her breakout role on TV. Her very first on-screen parts came in 2014 when she was in Sole and Uncovering Eden.
You might also recognize her from Once Upon a Time in Hollywood that came out last summer when she played Lulu Van Houten.
