If COVID-19 has taught all of us anything, it's that it doesn't discriminate between celebrities and regular people. Even Drake got a coronavirus test. He described what it was like in a way that only he could pull off.
During an Instagram Live video on March 20, Drake spoke with his father, Dennis Graham, about getting the test.
"You know I had to do a test the other day," Drake said, according to People. Graham asked him if it was for the coronavirus.
"Yeah, I had to get tested. But it came back negative though," Drake told him, "That test was uncomfortable though. They put that Q-tip all the way inside your thoughts and shit."
That quote has to make you wonder if the Q-tip also got in his feelings.
The Canadian rapper had reportedly gone into self-isolation after partying with NBA player Kevin Durant, according to Complex.
Durant was one of four Brooklyn Nets players who tested positive for the virus. He later told Shams Charania of the Athletic "Everyone be careful, take care of yourself and quarantine. We're going to get through this."
Drake had previously posted on Instagram about hanging out with Durant, writing in his caption "life is a race and the grim reaper catches up...till then glasses up."
Drake may have tested negative for COVID-19, but other high-profile figures have not been so lucky.
Sophie Gregoire Trudeau tested positive for the virus after attending an event in London.
Idris Elba, who was attending the same event, also tested positive for the virus.
So far, the Canadian government confirms that as of March 20, over 76,000 people have been tested for COVID-19. Over 65,000 of those tests have been negative.
The Canadian government is taking strict measures to ensure that the spread of COVID-19 is limited, including closing the Canada-US border for non-essential travel.
