For most people, yesterday may have just been a regular Sunday - but for most North Americans and basketball fans around the world, it was much more than that. On June 2nd, the second game of the NBA finals between the Toronto Raptors and the Golden State Warriors was held at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. As per usual, Canadian icon Drake was in attendance, and up to no good. Drake's Home Alone sweater at last night's Raptors game caught Macaulay Culkin's attention.
It appears that Drizzy is no longer just rapping anymore - he's picked himself up a job as a 'Global Ambassador' for the Raptors, and although he's not actually getting paid, he does get to sit courtside at home games and amp up not only the players but the audience in the stadium and at home as well. At last night's game, Drake showed off his goofy side with a seriously comedic wardrobe choice.
Drake rolled up to the game last night in what appeared to be a basic black sweatsuit, but upon closer inspection, fans noticed that it's actually a killer diss at Warriors player Kevin Durant. The sweater depicts Home Alone actor Macaulay Culkin and is supposed to represent the famous "KEVIN?!?!?!" line from the movie.
It's taking shots at player Kevin Durant, who's been out for the entire series due to a calf injury that's requiring some major recovery time. The hoodie on its own is funny enough, but Culkin actually saw it himself and took some time to shoutout Drake on social media.
Drizzy has yet to respond to Culkin yet, but we're excited to see what he has to say, and of course, what he has in store for the coming games of the finals. The Raptors won the first game against the Warriors 118-109 but lost last night by just 5 points with a score of 109-104. Game 3 takes place on Wednesday, June 5th at 7 p.m. MST.
