Just a while back, reports were swirling around claiming that Ed Sheeran planned to take a break from making music. The singer had plans to quit performing and releasing new songs in order to focus on starting a family with his fiancee. Things have clearly changed though - Ed Sheeran Toronto pop-up shop is coming just in time for his new album.
It was announced this morning that in a plan for marketing his new album, Sheeran would be opening a series of pop-up shops all around the world. The only one in Canada will be located in Toronto.
The new album is titled The No. 6 Collaborations Project, and it will be available everywhere on July 12th. The Toronto pop-up shop, cleverly dubbed "No. 6 in the 6ix" will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on July 12th and 13th at 277 Queen St. West.
At the shop, fans will have the opportunity to purchase exclusive and limited edition merchandise, as well as The No. 6 Collaborations Project on both CD and vinyl. On top of all the shopping options, a 180-degree photo booth will also be on location.
The new album will feature collaborations with a ton of your favourite artists, including Cardi B, Camila Cabello, Khalid, and Bruno Mars, among others. With so many talented artists from different genres, this album is sure to be like nothing Sheeran has ever released before.
A few weeks ago, Sheeran released the hit I Don't Care with Canadian pop-star Justin Bieber that quickly soared to the top of the charts, as well as River with rapper Eminem. Both songs will be included on the new album.
Sheeran's other pop-up shops will be located in places like Finland, Belgium, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Australia, and Brazil, among other countries. Merchandise at the shops will be available as long as supplies last, so you'll want to get there ASAP!
