Having trouble pronouncing his name? You may not be alone! Elon Musk’s son's name, X Æ A-12, has had people confused since he welcomed his son alongside Canadian partner, Grimes. If you’re still having trouble wrapping your head around the pronunciation, the CEO's mother, Maye Musk, has come up with the perfect nickname that might help you out.

Musk cleared up the pronunciation of X Æ A-12 in a recent interview, "It's just X, the letter X. And then the Æ is pronounced ash. And then A-12 is my contribution [...] Archangel 12, the precursor to the SR-71, coolest plane ever."

However, Maye is still offering fans another way to refer to the newborn.

In a tweet, she welcomed her twelfth grandchild into the world with an adorable message and an even sweeter photo. The tweet also happened to drop her new nickname for the baby, “X, welcome to this world You are so adorable.”

While "X" still matches the unique vibe X Æ A-12 has, people could be in for a much easier time when it comes to pronouncing it.

Grimes also got a shoutout from Maye for her first Mother’s Day, “Congrats ⁦@elonmusk⁩ and ⁦@Grimezsz⁩ who will celebrate her first #MothersDay tomorrow.”

The couple has been keeping their followers up to date since they welcomed their bundle of joy.

Photos of the newborn and his parents were shared just hours after his birth with Musk confirming that X Æ A-12 was in fact “Happy, healthy & cute as a button.”

Although Grimes is experiencing parenthood for the first time, this is actually her partner's seventh son.

He shares six other children with ex-wife Justine Musk.

Musk and Grimes’ relationship began back in 2018 with an encounter on Twitter. She confirmed that the Tesla CEO was the father of her baby in a Rolling Stone interview back in March.
