For some reason that's totally unbeknownst to me, the whole world loves Guy Fieri. Don't get me wrong, I love the man too, but the internet's obsession with him can get a little bit out of hand at times. Although he spends most of his time touring around the States, the Food Network star has been in Canada a lot lately. Guy Fieri attended Nickelback's Gatineau concert this weekend.

Over Labour Day long-weekend, Canadian band Nickelback headlined Gatineau's annual Hot Air Balloon festival. The show took place in Gatineau's Parc de la Baie, and the festival also featured performances from Montreal's Dead Obies and Le Groupe Swing, just to name a few.

After canceling their world tour back in 2015 due to lead singer Chad Kroeger undergoing surgery, Nickelback appeared to be back and better than ever for their August 30 show. The band performed songs from their ninth and latest studio album, Feed the Machine, as well as some of their greatest hits.

Apparently the band weren't the only celebrities in attendance though - Food Network star Guy Fieri also made a stop in Gatineau to see the show, which may just be the weirdest celebrity duo that Canada has seen in a while.

No one is entirely sure why Fieri was in Gatineau - he may have come to the city specifically for the festival, or perhaps he was working on a special project for his series, Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives, which has been known to feature the occasional tasty Canadian restaurant.

Just last week, Fieri was spotted at Ottawa's OCCO Kitchen filming an episode of his show, and earlier this summer he made an appearance at the Calgary Stampede to host the 2nd annual Cowboys BBQ Cook-Off. It seems as though Canada really is growing on the Mayor of Flavourtown!
