The Leafs may not have won, but the Biebers sure did. Last night, Justin Bieber's Toronto Maple Leafs date with his wife Hailey caught the attention of plenty of fans at the game. The singer even shared some adorable snaps from the evening on Instagram.
On Thursday, March 5, the Los Angeles Staples Centre was loaded with fans of the Canadian team, and their competitors, the LA Kings.
According to the Toronto Sun, last night's game was the first shut out for the Leafs since March 19, 2019, in Nashville. Despite the team's best efforts, they lost to the Kings with a final score of 1-0.
Although the Leafs have been struggling recently, Bieber still repped his Maple Leafs jersey with pride.
The Toronto Sun reports that the "Yummy" singer initially received cheers from fans when his face was displayed on the scoreboard, but when they realized which team he was supporting, the cheers quickly turned to booing.
The 26-year-old still made the best of his evening out with his wife. The two snapped plenty of photos together which he posted to Instagram.
Bieber has had a busy month with the release of his album Changes on February 14. The Canadian star has been making appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show all week long to promote the project and his upcoming tour.
The Bieber 2020 tour is set to kick off on May 14 in Seattle. The four Canadian stops include Montreal, Quebec City, Toronto and Ottawa.
Bieber wasn't the only Canadian celebrity in attendance at last night's game. The I-Land actor Kyle Schmid also headed to the Staples Centre to cheer on the Canadian team, and even shared some videos to his Instagram story.
The Leafs will be taking on the Anaheim Ducks tonight at Honda Center at 8 p.m. ET. Fingers crossed they can redeem themselves from last night's loss!
