It's a sad day in the dog world. Kaitlyn Bristowe's ex Shawn Booth announced that his dog Tucker died and she left a sweet comment for the pup. The two spent three years together and following their breakup, Bristowe called Tucker the glue to their relationship.
The personal trainer has been a dog dad to his golden retriever for over 11 years, often featuring him on his Instagram page.
Tucker has been with Booth through all of his achievements over the last decade, including his engagement and separation from Bristowe.
In the post announcing Tucker's death, Booth wrote, "With the heaviest heart I’ve ever had, I wanted to let you guys know that I lost my best friend today. Tucker passed peacefully in my arms and in the comfort of our backyard. I poured every ounce of my heart into him and he gave me his entire heart right back."
Booth continued, "I’ve never loved anything more and he was the best boy I could ever ask for. I was the luckiest person in the world to have him by my side for 11+ years. I already miss him so much. 'If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever'".
Booth's former partner left a reply writing, "I’m so sorry. This one hurts. You gave him a great life."
Us Weekly claims that following their breakup, Bristowe called Tucker "the glue to our relationship" while speaking on her podcast, Off the Vine.
She added, "I clearly love that dog so much. … I will see Tucker still. There’s no way I could not. And I will cherish every second with that dog, so you will still see him on my social media."
Like many adorable dogs, Tucker had his own Instagram account where Bristowe was often featured back when she and Booth were together.
Booth and Bristowe called off their engagement in November 2018 after getting engaged on the season finale of The Bachelorette in 2015.
According to PEOPLE, Booth pulled the plug on the relationship leaving a devastated Bristowe.
In the statement announcing their split, the two wrote, "This difficult decision comes after thoughtful, respectful consideration. Even though we are parting as a couple, we’re very much committed to remaining friends and we will continue to support each other."
Shortly after, Bristowe met Jason Tartick, a 31-year-old business consultant who competed on season 14 of The Bachelorette, three years after Bristowe's season 11.
The couple now owns their own pair of golden retriever pups, Ramen and Pinot.
Since her split from Booth, the 34-year-old influencer from Leduc, Alberta launched her own line of scrunchies, a wine company, and hosts a bi-weekly podcast.
