You know them so well they practically feel like they're your own friends. Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Chandler, Joey, and Ross are the friend group that everyone wishes they had. And Monica (Courteney Cox) and Chandler (Matthew Perry) had the relationship everyone wishes they were in. Both Perry and Cox have gone on to do great work after Friends ended despite our desire to follow their marriage forever. So it's probably not surprising to learn that Matthew Perry's net worth and Courteney Cox's are basically the same.
Our favourite friends were recently in the news when Jennifer Aniston practically broke Instagram by creating an account and joining the community. The first thing she posted was an adorable photo of the former cast members sharing an evening together which had fans jumping for joy. Of course, tons of people were speculating that a Friends reunion is in the cards. But even if that isn't happening, it's still super cute to know that they're still all friends fifteen years after the series ended.
All of them still have thriving acting careers and their Friends legacy will continue forever as long as Netflix Canada keeps it online which they promised they would do in December last year.
Despite their turbulent lives in the show, all of the cast members have gone on to have very successful lives, scoring awesome movie and TV roles, long term marriages (and some inevitable divorces), even a few adorable children.
Cox has done a ton of acting roles since the end of Friends, most notably starring in Cougar Town as Jules Cobb for six seasons. She also appeared in three episodes of Scrubs as Dr. Maddox, was a regular on Dirt for 20 episodes as Lucy Spiller, appeared in an episode of Private Practice, and will be in an episode of Shameless season nine as Jen Wagner.
In 2014, a whole decade after the series finale of Friends, Perry appeared in Cougar Town with his former TV wife. Check out the scene below!
Some of Perry's notable roles include starring as adult Mike O'Donnell in 17 Again opposite hunk, Zac Efron. He was also a series regular for two years in the remake of The Odd Couple, playing Oscar Madison opposite the hilarious Thomas Lennon as Felix Unger, who was also in 17 Again. But his last TV appearance was in 2017 when he was in the drama miniseries, The Kennedys After Camelot, as Ted Kennedy for four episodes.
According to Insider in September 2018, the three Friends women were part of the highest-paid TV actresses in 2002. Insider claimed that Cox's net worth was $120 million in 2018, and that Perry's was about $80 million. But according to CelebrityNetWorth.com, Perry's current net worth is $120 million as of 2019.
It's interesting to Perry, whose hometown is Ottawa, skyrocket in net worth over a short period of time. But what's even more intriguing is the fact that Cox has just as much income as he does. In a society where the gender wage gap is so prevalent, it's refreshing to see a female earn just as much as her male counterpart.
It's also extremely heartwarming to know that the two are still very good friends, even after their TV marriage ended. Perry has faced some hardships and addiction issues but bounced back on his feet.
Congratulations to all of the formers Friends cast on their continued success, but we're still going to be hoping for that reunion!
