Her royal title isn’t the first title she’s given up. Meghan Markle spent seven years as a cast member on Suits before falling for Prince Harry. However, she reportedly didn’t spend that time on set being referred to as only ‘Meghan’, she was given a unique nickname.

In the documentary Vice Versa: Meghan Markle Escaping the Crown, the DailyMail reports that royal expert Omid Scobie gave fans an inside look at what her life was like pre-royalty. The TV special included information about Markle’s days in Toronto filming the hit drama series.

According to the expert, cast mates on set referred to Markle as “Meghan Gets S--t Done.”

The sentiment was later confirmed by Suit’s executive director Brian Harris and explained that she was labelled as such because of her dedicated charity work.

When Markle later left her job as an actress to become the Duchess of Sussex, her castmates were reportedly nothing but supportive. A handful of them even attended the lavish ceremony in the UK.

According to The New York Times, The Duchess actually met her now-husband Prince Harry during a blind date while still filming the show, with the two making their first appearance together at the Invictus Games in Toronto back in 2017.

After recently leaving their roles as senior members of the Royal Family, the two are apparently back in Canada and residing on Vancouver Island with their 9-month-old son Archie. They have vowed to split their time between the UK and North America.

This is the second time Markle will be giving up a ‘title’. In a statement released by the Queen, the two will no longer be able to use their Her/His Royal Highness.

The Duke and Duchess are expected to officially leave their roles on March 31.
