Montreal's famous Metro Metro festival is finally taking place at the end of this week, on May 18th and 19th, and the days leading up to it have seriously flown by. Big names like Cardi B, Tyga, Snoop Dogg, Future, and Sean Paul are headlining this year, causing passes to sell out 50% within hours, and at the time of writing this, they're 100% sold out, leaving only daily passes on sale. With such an amazing lineup, we figured it's time for Montreal's Metro Metro Festival performer's diva demands to be revealed.
As we prepare for huge names in the music industry to make their arrival, we contacted organizers of the event to learn more about these demands. As it turns out, when you're a big shot, you can make some seriously boujee demands, and if the event wants to keep its performers happy, they're going to want to meet them.
For confidentiality reasons, the names of the artists making each demand cannot be revealed:
One artist is travelling to the festival via private jet, but she made sure her entourage would arrive in style too, requesting a 737 aircraft just for her dancers. Although we don't have a name, I think we can all guess who it is.
Another artist requested 125 bottles of Ace of Spade champagne, which retails for about $900 a bottle. As if that isn't enough, the artist also requested 100 bottles of Hennessy. It's our mission to make it to his after-party because there's no way he's drinking all of that alone.
Two separate performers have each asked for a pole dancing pole in their box, so it's clearly a popular request these days.
One name we were able to obtain information about is Future, who's requested a hotel room priced at $5,000 a night. We also heard that Cardi B has demanded Nutella cupcakes, a bathrobe with her name on it, and shoes for her baby, among other things. Even baby Kulture is more jet set than us!
The stars are set to arrive in Montreal at the end of the week, so stay tuned for any updates and be sure to keep your eyes peeled when you're out and about in the city this weekend!
