With the end of the year less than a month away, Twitter has taken the time to release to the public all their analytics from 2019, and not just any analytics, but the ones that involve Canadian celebs. While most of the people on the list were your classic household names like Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Oh, others were a little more surprising. Here were the most mentioned Canadians Celebrities on Twitter in 2019. 

When it comes to male musicians, Shawn Mendes topped the list followed by Justin Bieber, Drake, Sebastian Javier, and The Weeknd. 

Female musicians, on the other hand, saw Alessia Cara beat out Avril Lavigne, Celine Dion, and Carly Rae Jepson. 

Artists like Zeds Dead, Nickleback, Tegan and Sara, Arkells, and Loud Luxury managed to make the list as well for most mention musicians in general. 

Switching over to Red Carpet Hollywood, unsurprisingly Ryan Reynolds took the cake for most mentioned male actor for the third time. However, Seth Rogen, Stephen Amell, Finn Wolfhard, and Mena Massoud followed closely behind. 

Sandra Oh was crowned most mentioned female actress after dethroning Shay Mitchell who's held the number one spot for the past three years. 

Other Canadian actresses included Ellen Page, Stana Katic, Nina Dobrev, and Shay Mitchell. 

As an added bonus, Twitter even released what Canadians favourite TV shows were according to the countries Twitter activity. 

Game of Thrones, Saturday Night Live, Stranger Things, The Simpsons, and the Canadian gem, Schitt's Creek, we're all part of Canada's most talked-about series. 

Block-Buster movies like The Avengers: Englame, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Captain Marvel, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Joker, also found success with the Canadian Twitter demographic.
