Well, it’s official. The only Canadian on Love Island just got the boot! Eric Hall, who lives in Burlington, Ontario, was dumped from the hit CBS reality show on Wednesday after he failed to lock down a romantic partner.

The show’s rules state that any competitor who fails to find a partner is disqualified and kicked off the island. I know, sounds harsh, right? But, alas, that’s exactly what happened to Hall and his fellow islander Anton Morrow.

According to The Toronto Star, Hall, 28, works as a tattoo shop manager at Toronto’s Scoot Ink. Hall is a graduate of Robert Bateman High School and works alongside celebrity tattoo artist Scot Mason, who has inked everyone from Johnny Depp to LeBron James. Unsurprisingly, Hall is pretty tatted up himself and judging by his social media, has a real passion for tattooing.

Hall announced his departure this Wednesday on Instagram, to the disappointment of his many fans:

It’s a shame to see Hall get kicked off the show so early, especially after the confident speech he gave at the beginning.
“I’m a hunter! I always have been.” Hall told viewers during his impassioned intro in the show. “I’ll go and get exactly what I want … I’ll go to war for what I want. I’m not here to waste anybody’s time. I’m certainly not here to waste my time.”

Hall was only on the show for a very brief period. He was added to the show halfway through the season on July 22, 2019, and was eliminated just nine days later.
