6 Toronto Restaurants To Go Celeb Spotting At During TIFF 2019
Dine amongst the stars!
The end of the week is officially upon us, which means it's time to start making big weekend plans. No matter where you live, most people like to spend their Friday and Saturday evenings grabbing food and drinks with friends. If you happen to live in Toronto though, you may just be in for a star-studded weekend. TIFF 2019 celebrity spotting restaurants you need to try.
As you probably already know by now, the Toronto International Film Festival kicked off today, September 5. Extravagant events will be running from now until the 15, giving you plenty of time to hit up all the restaurants on this list.
STK Toronto // 153 Yorkville Ave
If you want to dine like rapper and Hustlers star Cardi B, STK is the place to go. The restaurant itself is absolutely stunning and has a mouthwatering menu, but the luxurious appeal also pretty much guarantees that you'll be dining amongst the stars.
Montecito // 299 Adelaide St W
Montecito is a California inspired restaurant that celebrities flock to to make themselves feel at home, away from home. The restaurant is an official hospitality partner of TIFF and hosts exclusive film parties during the festival. Celebrities spotted here include Idris Elba, George Clooney, and Kate Winslet.
Bar Reyna // 158 Cumberland St
Movie stars like Benedict Cumberbatch, Matt Damon, and Alicia Vikander have been spotted at Bar Reyna. If you're a big fan of unique cocktails and a unique, refreshing atmosphere, you'll definitely want to do your TIFF pre and post-drinking here.
The Drake // 1150 Queen St W
The Drake may be out of the way of most TIFF celebrations, but Vogue named the neighbourhood that it's in the second most hip in the world, and we all know that celebs love hip places. The iconic actress Margot Robbie has been known to stay here, and you'll have plenty of options for star scouting at the restaurant, club, or lounge.
Patria // 478 King St W
Last year, Patria was the spot where Ryan Gosling and Justin Trudeau ignited their super Canadian bromance. The Prime Minister made a surprise appearance at the Spanish restaurant, so who's to say that he won't pop by again this year?!
Byblos // 11 Duncan St
Toronto native Rachel McAdams has been known to dine at Byblos frequently, which I think says a lot about the restaurant. The Eastern Mediterranean spot will be hosting several events throughout the duration of TIFF, so you'll want to keep an eye out while in the area.
