Winnie Harlow Says She Was "Forced On Stage" At Toronto Pride But Fans Absolutely Loved Her
"Thank you Toronto pride for your love and energy ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜".
It's becoming pretty apparent that the party never stops over in Toronto. Just as the Raptors NBA Championship celebration parties are coming to a close, the city kicked it back into high gear with their monthly pride celebration that brought out plenty of locals and celebrities alike. Toronto Pride brought Winnie Harlow out for a surprise performance (VIDEO).
Toronto Pride is widely known as the biggest LGBTQ2S+ celebration that our country has seen. There's never any shortage of epic appearances and performances from a wide array of talent, and this year we got an extra special one.
Model Winnie Harlow posted the above video to her Instagram page this afternoon, which shows her in a neon outfit, hopping on stage at pride to perform and dance for the audience. The caption reads, "Call me Mutha 😂🤣 I was definitely forced on stage but thank you Toronto pride for your love and energy ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜I hope everyone got home safe!"
For someone who was forced on stage, Winnie looked seriously comfortable and had a lot of fun, but I guess that comes naturally when you've walked dozens of catwalks all across the globe.
Fans absolutely loved Winnie's performance and left the sweetest comments on her Instagram post:
Although she's never officially come out as a member of the LGBTQ2S+ community, Harlow is straight out of Toronto so the crowd was obviously hyped to see her. Harlow also has a skin condition called vitiligo, but that hasn't stopped her from taking over runways all over the world and inspiring others.
The surprise performance was a hit, to say the least, and it's so awesome to see Winnie showing love to her hometown and to the community at Pride. Hopefully we'll see more of her around the 6ix this summer!
