We all know Jim Carrey as a Canadian comedian and actor, popular for his roles in movies like The Truman Show, Dumb and Dumber, and Yes Man. Originally from Newmarket just outside of Toronto, he's one of the few Canadian actors really known worldwide.

Did you know that it's been over a full year since he's done any acting projects at all though? Seriously, his last film, Dark Crimes, came out in 2016.

So what has Carrey been up to since he's clearly not on the big screen right now?

The answer is painting. Yes. Painting. Not in a million years would you have guessed that would you?

Apparently he's been doing it for years but his newest masterpieces have supporters of American president Donald Trump really angry.

You see, his latest work seems to paint one the key people of Donald Trumps administration with a rather negative light.

It appears to show the White House's press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders with the caption "This is the portrait of a so-called Christian whose only purpose in life is to lie for the wicked. Monstrous!"

You can see the tweet below.

The tweet caused such a storm that even Fox News talked about it on their show Fox and Friends, a program the president is known to watch with regularity as he often tweets about it.

Fox reportedly did a segment asking if the painting went too far.

Carrey has been pretty vocal about his dislike for the president of the U.S. on twitter in the past, see the tweet below for evidence of that.

So you can add both painter, and annoyer of Donald Trump supporters to Carrey's Resume
