Whether you're surprised or not, our "Bodak Yellow" rapper has now surpassed Miss Queen Bey.
Yes, you heard me right. Our beloved Mrs. Carter, our fierce Yoncé, our Queen Beyoncé who once held the record for the female having the most Top 10 singles on the Hip Hop/R&B songs chart at a time, has now been surpassed by our new favourite powerhouse female rapper, Cardi B.
According to Billboard, Cardi has now "[become] the third act - and first woman - with five of the top 10 hits on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart in a single week". Alongside her are other highly esteemed rappers such as Drake and Kendrick Lamar.
After her bomb AF track "Bodak Yellow", her other singles and features including "Bartier Cardi", "No Limit" with G-Eazy, "Motorsport" with Migos and Nicki Minaj, as well as her latest guest appearance on Bruno Mars' "Finesse" have brought her to the top.
So, I don't know how to say this lightly but... move aside Bey. There's a new queen in town.
