On Monday night at the Met Gala, Cardi B and Nicki Minaj finally ran into each other and put all of their feud rumours to rest.
Ever since Cardi B arrived on the music scene, fans have been comparing the two successful female rappers. The comparisons eventually led to some tension between the two artists but they've finally put that to bed after talking at the Met Gala.
Cardi B. just opened up about the alleged feud and it looks like she's not blaming Nicki Minaj for their tense relationship, but she's actually blaming her own fans and the media!
On Wednesday, Cardi B revealed in an interview with Howard Stern what actually went down between her and Nicki. She explained that she was not feuding with anyone, it was a big misunderstanding.
Here's exactly what she said, "I think she felt a certain type of way about something. I definitely felt a certain type of way about something. I didn't wanna ever talk about it in public because I felt like we gonna see each other again and we will talk about it, and it's always like little issues. The thing is, it's always little issues, but you know, fans are always gonna make it a big thing."
So, it seems like Cardi thinks that her issues with Nicki Minaj were on a small scale until their fans blew it up and made it into a full-fledged rapper feud. Cardi went on to say that she and Nicki did speak at the Met Gala because it was something that needed to be talked about.
Cardi B. went on to say that the media and her fans try to pit female rappers against each other, and that was a big reason why the feud started in the first place.
"The media, they just so thirsty to put women in hip-hop - not just women in hip-hop, colour women - against each other."
Well, it seems like Cardi B doesn't want anything to do with this rapping feud anymore and she's over it.
