She's The Man is really and truly an iconic movie. The plot is genius, the actors are great, and we still quote it today (My favourite's gouda!). She's The Man was Amanda Bynes' fourth to last movie, in which she starred in with Channing Tatum. The two even had a little fling after the movie came out!
Not sure if you know this, but Amanda Bynes just made her comeback in Paper Magazine this week. She talks everything from drugs, to her Twitter days, to her trying coming back from retirement. And let's just say, the world rejoiced at once. Amanda Bynes is truly a comedic genius, and we can't wait for her comeback. And neither can Channing Tatum.
While being interviewed for Paper Magazine, Amanda Bynes told the magazine that she actually launched Channing Tatum's career. She said, "I totally fought for Channing to get cast in that movie because he wasn't famous yet. This guy's a star, every girl will love him!" And even though the producers thought he was too old, she didn't care. Well, Channing has responded to those comments and brb, our hearts are bursting.
In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight, he was asked about the comments she made about him and he had nothing but positive and great things to say about her. He said, "I love her. I guess she sort of told me that she got me cast in the movie. I love her."
He went on to say even nicer things about her, so get ready. He says, "I'm so happy she's killing it again and just back on the right track. She's so talented and so special. She's been doing it... I mean, I think it's so impossible when you start at such a young age to keep perspective. It's tough." But he also says she was 'just so alive' and hasn't seen her in years, but that he loves her and hope she's doing well.
I'm not crying, you're crying! We're really hope that somehow Amanda and Channing will end up in a movie together again at some point... maybe like She's The Man 2? We can all dream!
