Demi Lovato Just Called Out Instagram For Promoting Fat Shaming

She called out an ad she saw on her Instagram stories.

Demi Lovato has had it with fat shaming, as well as Instagram. Demi has been an advocate for recovery and healthy body image since she has struggled with her own body image issues. She's been super open about her struggles, and this isn't the first time she has called someone out for fat shaming. However, this time it's to one of the biggest apps in the world, Instagram.

While scrolling on her Instagram stories, Demi came across an sponsored ad for an app called Game of Sultans. In this game, you get to experience what it would be like sultan in the Middle East or Europe. So, it's basically like a boujee Sims. Well, the ads for the app are so uncool and are basically telling players of the app that there is a difference between obese and pretty.

A lot of us would just scroll passed the ad, but Demi refused to do that. Being an advocate for healthy body image, she decided to call them out. She screenshotted the ad she saw and told Instagram to "keep this bullshit off of mine and others feeds". Here are the screenshots she put in her Instagram stories:

She didn't stop there. Demi also took to Twitter to reveal she had just called out Instagram and for people to go take a look. Not only were her fans super supportive, but Kim Kardashian quoted the tweet and gave her respects. You can see the tweet below:

The 26-year-old singer calls a lot of people out on their bullshit, and I love it. I think it's time we stop promoting these skinny teas (cough all of the Kardashians) and start promoting a healthy lifestyle. Starting by taking ads of a random game that's fat shaming off of our feeds. Go Demi!
