If you thought that fans were upset with Arie after the Bachelor finale, just wait until you find out what he did now. The Bachelor became famous for being the most boring Bachelor to ever star on the show, that is, until the finale when sh*t hit the fan.
His iconic "on air/uncut/unedited" breakup with Becca K. scarred viewers and left Bachelor nation in disarray. Even Chris Harrison received online hate after airing the completely epic breakup season finale.
Arie surprised viewers by getting back together with his runner-up, Lauren B. immediately after breaking Becca's heart. It's safe to say that Bachelor nation already hated the idea of Arie and Lauren together after watching that brutal on-air breakup.
Now, fans are more angry than ever and that's because Arie and Lauren decided to pull a controversial April Fool's Day prank....
What is it, you ask? Well, Lauren B and Arie announced a fake pregnancy. If you've been around for a while, then you know that there was a surge of these pranks in the early to mid 2000s and they did not go over well then and they don't now.
Arie posted an up-close photo of Lauren's stomach with the caption, "Secrets finally out, we have a bunny in the oven!" implying that they're pregnant.
Bachelor fans were quick to call out Arie for the insensitive joke, claiming that for many women, conception is difficult and pregnancies can be risky. Fans didn't appreciate Arie making a joke out of something that lots of people struggle with.
He later apologized on his Instagram story, saying, "Sorry if you were offended, but we really are making a Dutch baby"....
