It's no secret that girls of Fifth Harmony have been on a rocky road ever since ex-member Camila Cabello left the group to pursue a solo career. Though it seemed with the group remaining strong months after that they would tough it out and put out another album featuring the four-some, instead it seems like the complete opposite has happened.
Rumours rose last night that the group would be releasing a statement this morning and they did just that. Taking to their official Twitter page with a message to their fans, saying that they are temporarily breaking up in efforts to pursue their own solo careers.
Naturally, it makes sense considering their latest self-titled album performed under par in comparison to past albums. On top of that their singles flopped and the underperformance, in general, was increasingly apparent while Camila dominated the charts with her singles "Havana" and "Never Be The Same."
While we don't know for sure if they will actually get back together, a lot of fans predicted the move. Considering that members were already doing things on the side and collaborating with other artists. Such as Normani's recent collaboration with Kahlid for the Love, Simon soundtrack. As well as Ally's single with Topic, Dinah's feature on French Montana's track and Lauren's collaboration with Halsey earlier this year.
Regardless, if things do turn for the worst and the pair never get back together, they've got a lot of accomplishments to look back on. Though we do hope their solo careers are successful, we're praying they'll regroup and give us a fire comeback album!
