Taylor Swift seriously sketched us and the internet last week when she deleted every ounce of content on her social media accounts. Fans first freaked out, but then rejoiced at the second coming of Taylor Swift - after Kim Kardashian famously buried her alive in receipts.
If you somehow missed this iconic moment in pop culture history, I will gladly recap for you. Kanye West came out with The Life of Pablo, which featured a track called Famous - referencing old VMA drama of yore when Ye stole the spotlight from Taylor Swift by praising Beyonce. The two had since made up and made music about the incident (Tswiz wrote Innocent basically forgiving Ye waaaay back when) and were supposedly friends.
The line "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex, why? I made that bitch famous," ~*apparently*~ caught Taylor off guard, causing her to @ Ye publicly when accepting an award, saying how other people will "try to take you down." Taylor claimed that Kanye had never spoke to her about the "disrespectful" lyric whereas Ye claimed Taylor not only approved but liked the line, in a classic game of he-said she-said.
Wait it's legit National Snake Day?!?!?They have holidays for everybody, I mean everything these days! 🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍— Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) July 17, 2016
That is, until Kim K delivered the receipts of our dreams. Video and audio of Kanye and Taylor discussing the line in question and confirmed audio of Taylor thanking Kanye for the heads up. Shortly after this incredible moment was shared on Kim's Snap and Twitter, Taylor Swift's social medias were stormed by snake emojis, to show just how shady the country star had been.
A little over a year later? Taylor Swift drops a video of a slithering snake on Instagram. So if I were to guess who the tracks about? Kim Kardashian West comes to mind. The current comments are disabled (to eliminate any amount of backlash from Kardashian fans) and the videos come with no audio - though apparently some fans claim they can make out the numbers '25' in the snakes' scales, which UsWeekly later confirmed is the date Swift's single will drop.
T-Swift fan accounts have concluded that the single is most likely named 'Timeless' which I will say does not have the panache that Famous does. Considering the drop date is Friday and the much famed VMA's are Sunday, we wouldn't put it past Taylor to perform and shake things up - considering the Ye incident happened on the very same stage.
Will it be awkward as fk considering Katy Perry aka Taylor Swift's arch nemesis will be hosting the show? Most likely, yes. But will it make for great TV? That's what we're hoping.
