Last week, Mac Miller died at the young age of 26-years-old. The late musician left gaping hole in the rap community and fans are completely devastated that he's passed away.
Soon after his death was announced, his family released a short statement where they said Mac was "a bright light in this world for his family, friends and fans." Since then, we haven't heard anything from the family as they must be heartbroken by their loss.
About a week later, we've received news on how the family is dealing with the news of his passing.
A source told US Weekly stated, "To say the family is shocked and sad would be an understatement." They continued, "They'll be OK, but the grief they are feeling right now is unimaginable. They're leaning on one another to cope with this devastating and unexpected loss."
The anonymous source also stated that "The family is very appreciative for all of the love and support they've received."
Just yesterday, we reported on how a close friend of Mac's revealed that Ariana Grande actually helped Mac get sober and was an "incredible" girlfriend to him. This comes as news after fans accused Ariana of breaking up with Miller during a troubling time in his life, which "caused" him to spiral.
She's previously stated that that's not the truth and she's always been supportive of Mac and his sobriety. Now, this has been confirmed by a friend of Miller's.
