After going public about their relationship just a few weeks ago, Ariana Grande and comedian Pete Davidson shocked the world on Sunday by confirming that they're engaged.
The news was met with some mixed reactions from Ariana's fans, who are still reeling from her recent split from her rapper boyfriend of two years, Mac Miller.
Clearly, Ariana's super excited to share her news with the world. She's been addressing it on Twitter, and has even rocked her $100K engagement ring on stage.
Carly Aquilino, Pete Davidson's ex girlfriend, is pretty salty about their engagement. Just hours after the news broke, Carly posted this screenshot of a text conversation with a friend. Her friend writes, "I know I'm the 9 billionth person to text you today about this, but... I can't."
Carly captioned the screenshot with, "My day in a text message."
Carly jumped on Instagram again yesterday, with an update about how her love life is going. Carly posted another screenshot, which shows her sending a heart emoji to an anonymous recipient. The recipient didn't respond, and she sent another message the next day saying, "damn ok." She captioned it with, "My love life is going great."
Like Pete, Carly is also a comedian, and stars on a TV show called The Girl Code. She and Pete dated in 2015, before his public long term relationship with Cazzie David. Cazzie has yet to publicly congratulate Pete on his exciting news.
