Instagram Comedian "The Fat Jewish" Created A GoFundMe Page For Kylie Jenner And People Are Actually Donating
The more money that gets donated, the angrier people seem to get.
Instagram's favourite comedian the "Fat Jewish" - real name Josh Ostrovsky - is begging people to donate money to Kylie Jenner, after Forbes Magazine announced that she was just $100 million shy of.
"I don't want to live in a world where Kylie Jenner doesn't have a billion dollars," Ostrovsky wrote on the GoFundMe campaign that he started, "WE MUST RAISE 100 MILLION DOLLARS TO HELP HER GET TO A BILLION, PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD, THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT."
Ostrovsky launched the campaign on Wednesday, and 32 people have donated. So far, he's managed to raise $285 of his $100 million goal. Yesterday, the campaign was suddenly deactivated and all of the funds disappeared. Before it was deactivated, $422 was raised in 13 hours by 28 people.
“I just cannot sit idly by and watch this type of injustice take place, so I decided to use my platform and voice to help,” Ostrovsky told Page Six, “Kylie worth just short of a billion? Not on my watch.”
The campaign is clearly a joke, but many people don't see the humour in it. "Sorry this is #NotImportant at all. If you're going to donate money why not choose one of the hundreds of WORTHY charities that could really use your help," says one comment.
"I can not believe what I'm reading here.....GO TO HELL!!!! We have a lot of Americans men and women sacrifice their lives for us and you are asking to donate for this woman money to be a billionaire???. Why you and Kylie Jenner just hang your self together," says another irate Instagram user.
But, "Fat Jewish" made it clear that the funds would go to a cause that was truly in need of donations. "All money will be donated to something awesome, like a charity that feeds people who don’t have food," he wrote in the comments.
Kylie hasn't publicly responded to the campaign as of yet. But, some celebrities have. Jersey Shore cast members Pauly D and Vinny Guadagnino, Bethanny Frankel and model Winnie Harlow all found it hilarious.
Another popular Instagram comedian named Violet Benson, who runs the account "@daddyissues_" claims that the "Fat Jewish" stole her joke. "This caption. Lol. You literally stole my joke haha," she wrote in the comments. So much drama.
We can't wait to see how much money he manages to raise.
