The Office fans can rejoice because Jim Halpert has officially weighed in on the option of a reboot, and we're excited.
While doing press for his new film, A Quiet Place, John Krasinski weighed in on his character Jim Halpert, admitted he's been thinking about the idea of doing a reboot a lot and how he thinks they can get the original cast together for a reboot of The Office.
In a statement he said, "Those people are absolutely my family. It's not some sentimental bogus bulls**t, it's true. They are the people that I started this business [with]. Every cool opportunity I've gotten is from that show. I feel so luck to have been on that show, I'd love to go back".
Obviously, it would be nearly impossible to get the whole cast back together for an entire season, but smart cookie, John Krasinski has the best idea for how they could have a reunion and get the whole cast back together.
In the UK, many tv series have "Christmas specials". Krasinski recommended this for the reboot! It's much easier than trying to get everyone together for an entire season and they could still get everyone on board for a special reunion episode.
Krasinski said, "That is such a brilliant thing in television programming, to do a once-a-year sort of check-in with your favourite shows. I absolutely think we should do that, and I don't know why more shows don't do that. Hey America! We need to do Christmas specials"
Well, here's hoping that the network can get on board with this idea, because we NEED to see the OG cast back together.
